draft Plan sets out thinking for churchill path of destiny (Memorial)
Recent observations of crowd movement in 2022 at the bust of Winston Churchill in Copenhagen have seen the need to create a hard surface directly in front of the bronze bust or alternatively relocate it away from its current location. This idea is one of many currently being explored.
The famous Churchill quotation; "In War - Resolution, In Defeat - Defiance, In Victory - Magnanimity and In Peace - Goodwill" will be inscribed in the stone and become a main feature to the attraction. The Churchill quotations selected by leaders who supported the project in 2005 will be placed in a path going towards Churchill. International consultations start in 2023 and will listen to all opinions as well as the feedback on social media channels. One of the goals will be to increase the flow of people and raise the level of interest in the bronze monument and the quotations wherever it is finally located. |
